She broke through the glass ceiling in a sector traditionally dominated by men.     As she states in IBC Magazine, “I had this drive to understand the insurance world and how it all worked,” she says. “I’ve worked in all areas of insurance and wondered, how could I use this expertise to help people? In addition to running her insurance brokerage she is also an active member of the Women Presidents’ Organization, the Insurance Brokers Association of Nova Scotia, and the Risk and Insurance Management Society.
